Liam Neeson almost single-punchedly revived the Middle-Aged Man of Action genre with Taken, but that doesn’t mean he invented it. Long before he fought to stay on a speeding train in The Commuter, Gene Hackman did the same in Narrow Margin, and he did it himself on an actually speeding train.

Peter Hyams’s criminally overlooked noir remake is a compact, breathless reminder of the power of practical stunts and the most reliable character actors in the business.
